Hawaii Trip

Ok... so here is my trip to Hawaii finally!!! I rented a car when I got to Kauai... it was soooooo fun to drive with my top off... I mean with the top down! ha ha
This was a quick storm that rolled in when I was in Kauai. I actually snapped this with my camera on my cell phone! Not bad eh???
This was a beach I drove to about 2 hours from the resort in Kauai.. I can't remember the name but there were only about 5 or so people on the beach the whole time. It was amazing!!

This is looking at the resort in Kauai from the beach. It was the most beautiful place I have seen.. not to mention the most romantic place ever. All I could think of was someone saying "Couples skate only please... couples skate only." LOL
Another view of the resort in Kauai. I was sitting out there with a glass of wine and this bird flew right into my head and just sat there.. the old couple behind me totally started laughing!! It scared me to death!!!
They had these swings all along the beach.. I sat out there for a while each night just staring out at the water.

Ok.. now we are in Waikiki.. I was at a resort called Turtle Bay with some friends that I know who live there. This is on the North Shore.

This is at the pool bar in Waikiki the old version of Rose Dawson (I'll never let go Jack...) wouldn't get out of my way so I could take a picture of the performers. They would perform out there every night!!

This is a view from my room in Waikiki. I would sit out there every night and listen to the water... I slept with my balcony door open so I could have that sound put me to sleep.. ya.. it was tough being me for this week!!

In the morning from my balcony. I was in Waikiki for 4 days with my friends and the Kauai for 3 days alone. It was a fantastic trip and I enjoyed the company as well and just spending time alone. I have never really done a big trip like this alone and I loved every minute of it. I think I want to make Hawaii an annual vacation. Some of the views would just take my breath away. Kauai should be on everyones list of places to go!!!

My Casa

So here is my little place. I really enjoy living alone. Julie lives in the same complex just across the parking lot which is SMF!!

I still have the no sit room for Mom's furniture.. ha ha

I went with a black white and red theme in the bathroom and my room. Kind of fun!

Misc Pix and Memorial Day weekend 08

So this are just some girlfriends, Julie and Megan during a night out up on Whidbey Island.. we danced the night away!

This is my friend Andy, we were at a pub crawl with. We were helpin rasie money for an independent film festival some friends started here 4 years ago! It's pretty amazing how big it has gotten over the past few years!!!
My friend Jessica and her hubby are the ones that stared the festival.
This was a wedding for a gal we all used to work with down in Portland. She is LDS and had the most amazing dress!!!! ( she was kind enough to have wine for us non-LDS peeps.. no one spiked the punch though!!!)

Memorial Day Weekend was spent in the sun and 80 degrees in Sean and Jess's backyard. We had SMF!!!!
This was a can of tomato juice and beer.. supposed to be a good hangover cure but they all said it tasted gross.. I opted out!

Aruba!!!!!

Ok... so these are a bit out of order but here is my trip to Aruba to accept my Manager of the Year award. I was a guest at what is called Hyatt Masters where all the top managers get to go every year to be spoiled!!!! You have to quailify by making your numbers, quota's, etc. Everyday there was a different amenity in out room, one was a $500 AMEX gift card!!!!

So here is this awesome parrot that was on the resort.. he would talk and laugh and whistle at you!!

They had a bunch of the lizzard around too... they kind of creeped me out! This is a view from my room of the resort.


A few of us went tubing.. I had never done it before but it was so much fun!!!! I was laughing so hard I couldn't keep my butt from hitting the water and it was totally sore the next day!!!!
This is two of the 4 gals from my hotel that were with me.. they are actual Hyatt Masters!! We went on a sunset sail before the awards dinner. It was so great!

This is happy hour... come to think of it... every hour was happy hour!!! ha ha

Behind this boat was Pete's Pier where they had karaoke every night.. it was so amazing singing at night out there on the water! I crushed it!! LOL!!

My good friend Jessica that I have worked with since I started.. she was the one that hired me as her assistant. We got dressed up and went into town one night....SMF!!!!! She is a hoot!

This was a screen the hotels engineering department built for the awards dinner out in the water!!!! UNREAL!!!!
All the gals from my Hyatt that went and then me accepting my award... in barefeet after eating dinner out on the beach!! My boss told them I loved Celine so they had one of her songs playing when I walked up. I recieved some cash and a Tiffany necklace for MOY!!! OMG!!!

After the dinner they shot off fireworks for us from out in the water!! It was truly one of the most amazing times of my life! It was a huge honor and something I will never forget!!!
